BitGo and Wyoming among CCIP migrations
BitGo accounted for more than $7.7 billion in Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) migrations, according to Chainlink's Q3 2026 review. Following a security review, BitGo chose CCIP as the sole cross-chain infrastructure for WBTC and its future issued assets. Chainlink said the move brought more than 70% of the wrapped Bitcoin ecosystem onto its infrastructure.
Wyoming's Stable Token Commission transferred its FRNT stablecoin to CCIP in August, also following a security review. A multiyear agreement makes Chainlink FRNT's exclusive cross-chain provider. In September, the commission adopted Chainlink Proof of Reserve to make FRNT reserve data available across blockchains.
Aave, Coinbase and xStocks increased their use of CCIP, and Nethermind began transferring its infrastructure to Chainlink. The company put the cross-chain token value secured by CCIP at more than $85 billion. Across Chainlink's services, cumulative enabled transaction value exceeded $36 trillion; that measure is not revenue.
Chainlink linked the broader migration wave to recent cross-chain security incidents in its separate "Great Chainlink Migration" blog, published May 20, 2026, and updated August 18. The post cited a $292 million LayerZero exploit and, citing KelpDAO, an April 18 incident that caused $300 million in DeFi losses.
That blog's migration list included more than $330 million in Kraken's kBTC, more than $2.5 billion in Mantle's Super Portal, more than $1 billion in Lombard's LBTC/BTC.b, and more than $700 million each from Solv Protocol and Virtuals Protocol.
CCIP 2.0 and new network deployments
The third quarter brought the launch of CCIP 2.0. Chainlink said the upgrade already serves all of its more than 1,040 EVM-to-EVM CCIP lanes, adding institutional risk controls, flexible settlement and always-on compliance. Cross-chain messages now arrive within seconds after finality rather than taking minutes, according to the review.
Circle-developed Layer-1 blockchain Arc launched its mainnet with Chainlink services available from the outset. Arc is committing capital through Chainlink Scale to provide its ecosystem with access to CCIP, Data Feeds, Data Streams and Proof of Reserve.
Other deployments spanned both finance and consumer platforms. Hong Kong's Tokenized Securities Framework selected CCIP and the Chainlink Automated Compliance Engine. Polymarket, World and LBank adopted Chainlink tools for market resolution and payouts.
Bank connectivity and tokenized collateral
At the Sibos banking conference, Chainlink presented Fulcrum for securities financing and collateral management across private and public blockchains. It also announced connectivity between banks and Swift's blockchain ledger using the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE). Under that arrangement, banks retain their transaction-signing keys.
The review described a strategic partnership with Bottomline, one of the top three Swift service providers, aimed at offering cross-chain and cross-border payments to more than 600 bank customers. Bottomline also launched the Chainlink-powered Global Pay Connect platform, giving those banks access to onchain payment rails through ISO 20022 messaging.
DTCC's Collateral AppChain is set to use CRE and Chainlink data services to manage collateral. Separately, the review said DTCC completed its first production trades involving tokenized U.S. securities, with Chainlink supporting the activity alongside more than 30 major institutions. One live production trade involved J.P. Morgan posting tokenized stock to meet margin requirements with CME Group.
The Bank of England's Synchronisation Lab demonstrated another settlement use: CRE coordinated the exchange of central bank money and tokenized assets.
Infosys also entered a strategic partnership to standardize adoption of Chainlink's platform, covering CCIP, CRE, the Automated Compliance Engine, Proof of Reserve, Data Streams and Data Feeds. The review described Infosys as a global IT company worth more than $40 billion whose banking and payments infrastructure supports over 1.7 billion customer accounts worldwide.
Reserve holdings, ETFs and brokerage access
The Reserve's third-quarter addition took its holdings to 6,047,498.3150 LINK. Chainlink also reported that cumulative value recaptured through its Smart Value Recapture service had exceeded $24.4 million.
At quarter-end, the Grayscale and Bitwise LINK ETFs, trading under GLNK and CLNK, respectively, collectively held 16,650,795 LINK. Chainlink's review put those holdings at 2.24% of LINK's total market capitalization, with assets under management above $230 million.
The review also said Charles Schwab is adding LINK to Schwab Crypto. The brokerage serves 40 million accounts and manages $11.77 trillion in client assets.
LINK approaches $12 after October retreat
LINK's October 22 price of about $12.24 was below its monthly high near $15.70. According to crypto.news data, the token lost approximately 0.67% over 24 hours, although it remained up roughly 1.68% over seven days.
TradingView indicators showed bearish momentum: the RSI measured 44.11, below the neutral 50 level but not in oversold territory. The MACD line was -0.224, beneath the signal line at -0.121.
The chart placed support at $12, with $11 the next level to defend if that support failed. On the upside, $13 marked resistance; regaining it would bring $14 back into view.
