Commercial deployments span four countries
In its announcement distributed by PR Newswire, Greenzie said the machines have cut more than 9 billion square feet of turf for over 200 commercial customers. The deployments cover 45 U.S. states and four countries, with the work amounting to more than 65,000 equivalent operator days of autonomous mowing.
Founded in 2018, Greenzie has supported commercial field deployments since 2021. Its platform allows mowing equipment to navigate and work autonomously, supporting crews as they manage labor availability and productivity.
Co-founder and CEO Charles Brian Quinn said the experience gained alongside commercial crews matters more than the distance alone. He credited that fieldwork with helping Greenzie refine its technology, strengthen manufacturer partnerships and learn how to integrate autonomy into customers' daily operations.
Equipment partners and financial backing
Greenzie provides autonomy technology and helps integrate it into equipment developed and manufactured by its original equipment manufacturer partners. Its longstanding collaboration with Wright Manufacturing includes the Wright Autonomous Stander ZK, which uses Greenzie Powered Autonomy and is in use by commercial landscape contractors. Wright CEO Ed Wright credited employees, dealers and customers at both companies with helping bring the technology into commercial service.
Other equipment partners include Mean Green Electric Mowers, Greenworks Commercial and Bobcat. Bobcat Company was also a strategic investor in Greenzie's $8 million corporate strategic funding round, which closed in October 2022 and was led by Atlanta Ventures.
According to a LeadIQ company profile, Greenzie had raised $17 million across six funding rounds as of October 2026. The latest round, totaling $2.5 million, was announced May 6, 2025.
Greenzie's work with academia includes joining the Auburn University Outdoor Power Equipment Consortium in August 2023 and donating a commercial mower to the school.
Software development and customer adoption
Greenzie released Version 5.0 of its autonomy software on March 10, 2026, describing it as an advance in commercial-ready autonomy for landscaping, with improvements for operating on complex commercial properties. On April 23, the company published its 2025 Annual Safety Report, covering safety performance over multiple years of commercial-scale operation.
The company also uses lessons from field deployments in its Greenzie Powered Autonomy Adoption Program. The program helps customers assess which properties are suitable, prepare for deployment, train operators, measure results and expand autonomous operations.
Chief operating officer Steve Bush said customers need more than capable technology: They also need to determine where autonomy fits their business, prepare crews and establish how to measure success. He said Greenzie developed its adoption approach through years of work with customers and equipment manufacturers.
Quinn said Greenzie's next priorities are to build on that operating experience, help additional manufacturers bring autonomous equipment to market and support adoption by more commercial operators.
