UK prices and paint choices
BMW's UK pricing starts at £60,170 on the road (OTR) for the iX4 40 xDrive M Sport. The 50 xDrive M Sport starts at £66,075 OTR, while pricing for the M60 xDrive will follow closer to its UK launch.
Eucalyptus Green is one of nine exterior finishes available initially, alongside colors including Fire Red and Polarized Grey. BMW will add three Frozen finishes in March 2027: Pure Red, Ocean Wave Blue and Space Silver. Additional personalization through the BMW Individual paint catalog is planned for later.
Carwow also has pages for the iX4 in black, blue, gray, red, silver and white.
What Carwow's options include
The new-car option combines upfront discounts that require no negotiation with flexible monthly financing and a full manufacturer warranty, according to Carwow.
For used-car shoppers, the page points to stock across the UK through Carwow's dealer network. It says every car comes with a free vehicle history check, and shoppers can contact dealers with questions or to arrange a test drive.
Leasing terms run for two, three or four years at a fixed monthly payment. Carwow lists home delivery across mainland UK, with the manufacturer warranty and road tax included throughout the contract.
BMW's electric replacement for the X4
The first iX4 replaces the combustion-powered BMW X4 and serves as the coupe version of the electric iX3. BMW describes it as a fully electric Sports Activity Coupé built on its Neue Klasse platform.
According to BMW Group PressClub United Kingdom, the model was officially unveiled on October 8, 2026, and series production began that month at BMW Group Plant Debrecen in Hungary.
Cargo capacity is 490 liters with the rear seats in place, or 1,600 liters when the 40:20:40 split-folding rear seats are lowered. A separate compartment under the hood provides another 58 liters of storage.
Range and performance by version
BMW's provisional UK specifications give the iX4 40 xDrive 374 hp and 520 Nm of torque, with a 0-62 mph time of 5.6 seconds. Its usable battery capacity is 82.6 kWh, providing a stated WLTP range of up to 396 miles.
The 50 xDrive pairs a 108.7 kWh usable battery with a WLTP range of up to 514 miles. Output rises to 469 hp and 645 Nm, and the 0-62 mph time falls to 4.9 seconds.
The range-topping M60 xDrive is due in spring 2027. BMW lists 612 hp, 875 Nm and a 3.9-second 0-62 mph time, with an electronically limited top speed of 149 mph. Its 108.7 kWh usable battery delivers a stated WLTP range of up to 483 miles.
Charging capabilities
An 800-volt electrical system and sixth-generation eDrive technology underpin the iX4's charging capabilities. The 50 xDrive accepts DC charging at up to 400 kW; BMW says it can add up to 240 miles of range in 10 minutes and charge from 10% to 80% in 21 minutes.
The 40 xDrive supports a lower peak DC charging rate of 300 kW, with up to 187 miles of range added in 10 minutes.
Production and materials
BMW builds the iX4 alongside the iX3 at Debrecen. During normal production, the Hungarian plant uses no fossil fuels and draws its electricity entirely from renewable sources.
BMW says measures taken during development reduced the iX4's supply-chain CO2e emissions by about one-third. It also says secondary materials account for roughly 30% of the vehicle, and about 85% of the aluminum used has a CO2e footprint below the industry average.
