Home searches and arrests

Soldiers searched multiple homes and ransacked their contents, the sources said. They accused the soldiers of deliberately damaging residents' property and abusing the seven detainees while taking them away. The forces then left the village, taking the men to interrogation centers, according to the report.

Those detained were Bashar Sadiq Yusuf Muammar; Harith Muhammad Hassan Allan; Nasser Ahmed Badawi Bum and his son Umair Nasser Ahmed Bum; Awad Ratib Asmar Laboum; and brothers Khalid Husam Yusuf Azem and Yusuf Husam Yusuf Azem.

Raids across the West Bank

A separate Al-Quds report put the number of Palestinians arrested in raids across the occupied West Bank that day at 13. Most of those raids took place in the Nablus governorate.

That report also named paramedic and anti-settlement activist Bashar Al-Qaryouti among those arrested. Soldiers stormed his home in Qaryut, and field sources said they severely beat him before taking him to an unknown location.

Al-Quds described the Qaryut operation as one of repeated army incursions into communities in the Nablus governorate, amid escalating daily raids and arrests across the occupied West Bank.

Earlier land seizure in Qaryut

Qaryut was also the site of a land seizure on July 8, 2026, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA. Israeli colonists seized land, including farmland, along with agricultural sheds and greenhouses belonging to village residents. WAFA said they raised Israeli flags in what appeared to be an attempt to establish a new outpost.

Palestinian detention figures

The Palestinian Prisoners' Society said Palestinian prisoner groups had recorded at least 26,000 arrests in the occupied West Bank since the war in Gaza began in October 2023, The New Arab reported on October 24, 2026. That tally excludes people detained in Gaza.

Separately, Palestinian figures cited by Middle East Monitor put the number of Palestinian prisoners held by Israel at around 9,400 as of August 2026. The figures included 94 women, more than 350 children, 3,244 administrative detainees and 1,320 people Israel classified as "unlawful combatants."
